Reasons Why President Trump Should Be Impeached

 -Stormy Daniels Scandal

Let me paint you a picture. It’s 2006, and Donald Trump is married to Melania Trump. But then Donald Trump, our president, has an affair with an adult film actress, Stormy Daniels. Flash Forward to 2011 when allegations of the 2006 affair are published. Then, Stormy Daniels had an interview with In Touch Weekly and the interview would’ve been published, except Trump’s lawyer, Michael Cohen, said he would sue the magazine if they ended up publishing said interview. Come 2016,  Michael Cohen pays Stormy Daniels $130,00 to stop saying things about the alleged affair. Then at one point, Daniels admitted that she and Trump had sexual relations once. She also mentioned she had been threatened by Trump’s attorneys in front of her infant.

-Family Separation Policy via Trump Administration

The Trump Administration has separated children from any adults accompanying them across the border even when they were lawfully entering at ports of entry. See, even President Obama didn’t separate families when possible. The American Academy of Pediatrics said the policy caused “irreparable harm” to the kids. The Trump Administration didn’t even have a plan to bring the families back together, so many parents and children haven’t had contact with each other since they were separated by Donald Trump’s Administration. There are still more than 2,000 children separated from their families. The Trump Administration said that they were under the same policy as the Obama Administration but that’s false (look it up on PolitiFact), the Obama Administration did not seek to break up families like the Trump Administration.

-Donald Trump Sexual Assault Allegations

Wikipedia says, “Donald Trump, an American businessman and current President of the United States, has been accused of sexual assault and sexual harassment, including non-consensual kissing or groping by at least 19 women since the 1980s. Those accusations have resulted in three widely reported instances of litigation: his then-wife Ivana made a rape claim during their 1989 divorce litigation but later recanted that claim; businesswoman Jill Harth sued Trump in 1997 alleging breach of contract while also suing for nonviolent sexual harassment but withdrew the latter suit as part of a settlement relating to the former suit; and, in 2017, former The Apprentice contestant Summer Zervos filed a defamation lawsuit after Trump called her a liar. Now, the last allegation is not as lamentable as the first few. It’s a widely known fact that nobody is perfect but that’s just not the point; most presidents haven’t had allegations such as these. Sure, one might say, “She just wants money” or, “they just want attention.” But if that’s the case, then how come allegations such as these haven’t been made against every other president? During the 2016 presidential election, The Washington Post brought about a tape starring Donald Trump and Billy Bush. This was in 2005. In a bus, on their way to make an episode of Access Hollywood they had an awful conversation that degraded women. Trump talked about seducing a woman and how he might attempt to kiss women that he and Bush would meet. Trump said, “I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything…you can do anything.” That sounds like sexual assault.

However, President Trump hasn’t done anything illegal that would be cause for impeachment. Yet, I can’t shake the awful feeling that something illegal he did will come out or that he will do something illegal. Bill Clinton lied to Congress; that’s why he got impeached. Now, Donald Trump is more deplorable than Bill Clinton, so we will just sit back and watch him do stupid things.

In short, Donald Trump, shouldn’t be president. Hillary Clinton won the popular vote, not Donald Trump, who won the electoral college. One reason the electoral college is in place is because of southern state’s slaves. This old system was made so that states with more slaves could get more votes. So, it’s not really necessary anymore. It has cost candidates the race, most recently, Hillary Clinton and Al Gore. Not to mention that Donald Trump isn’t the most professional, nice, or compassionate person. On PolitiFact, Donald Trump’s profile says that 34% of his statements are false, 21% are mostly false, 15% are pants on fire, and only 4% are true.

So in conclusion, our president is not a good president.
