The Netflix original movie Mowgli is about a little kid named Mowgli who is raised by wolves in the Indian jungle. He is taught the rules of the jungle by the bear Baloo and panther Bagheera. Mowgli is accepted by the wolves but the tiger Shere Khan doesn’t like him. There may be bigger dangers in the jungle as Mowgli comes to learn about his fellow man cubs.

When I first started this movie I was expecting it to be a remake of The Jungle Book.  If you are expecting that, then you will be disappointed because they changed some big things due to copyright issues. For instance, Baloo, who’s supposed to be cute and cuddly, looks a little creepy. Also, may I add, they have human eyes. It’s scary. Another thing to point out is that the writers changed the storyline. Mowgli still fights Shere Khan and goes to the man village and such; it just happens differently. But that isn’t a bad thing, because it gives you a chance to see the story in a different light. They also added some new, fun traditions to the wolf pack and it spices things up a bit. Speaking of new things, they also added some new characters. One of the new characters is named Boot. Bhoot is an albino wolf who is Mowgli’s best friend and who gets picked on for being different. He’s an easy character to relate to. He’s also adorable.

This movie, needless to say, was pretty good for a Netflix movie. I recommend it to anyone who’s thinking of watching it. Just one more thing: this movie can be graphic at times; it was not put out by Disney, so maybe don’t let little children watch some scenes. But other than that, it was a good movie. I recommend.
