We have a total of five new fantastic teachers at Mountain Crest this year! Now that they are a part of our school’s amazing faculty, I thought you should know more about them.

Mrs. Short

What are your hobbies?

“Water-skiing and boating with my family. If I’m on the water, I’m in my happy place.”

What made you want to be a teacher?

“I really like math and I like working with kids but I took a test in high school that said my career should be in math, but that I should work with people also.”

What did you do during the summer?

“Babysat grand-kids, went to Baltimore to take care of my dad, went hiking and jeeping in Moab and Arches, and went skiing in Flaming Gorge.”

Mrs. Wenger

What made you choose Mountain Crest?

“It is a great school; my two oldest kids went here and it feels like home.”

What did you do during the summer?

“I traveled to New Hampshire and sailed and did lake things with my family.”

What is your favorite and least favorite thing about Mountain Crest?

“The students are fantastic! I haven’t found anything I don’t like yet, except for my morning alarm at home.”

Ms. Martindale

If you weren’t a teacher what would you be?

“I really can’t think of anything else I’d rather be! I’ve wanted to be a teacher since the 2nd grade.”

What are your hobbies?

“Anything outdoors. I love running, playing sports and hiking.”

How long have you been teaching?

“One Week!”

Mrs. Hoskins

What made you want to be a teacher?

“I just like helping people and taking care of them to help them become better people.”

What is your favorite sport?

“I’m not very athletic but I like to watch basketball and golf.”

What is your favorite and least favorite thing about Mountain Crest

“My favorite is that all the kids are so well behaved. My least is that it’s a really big school so it’s harder to get around.”

Mr. Boam

If you weren’t a teacher what you be?

“If I weren’t a teacher I would do landscaping or construction full-time. Something outside.”

What made you choose Mountain Crest?

“I’m a Mustang myself and felt incomplete without it.”

What is your favorite and least favorite thing about Mountain Crest?

“The kids and the kids.”
