Tuesday, March 13, the boys’ varsity tennis team went up against Box Elder and took an outstanding win with a score of 4-1. This was an amazing save because on March 8 we went against Timpanogos High School and lost by one point. Last weekend the boys went down to St. George and placed fourth out of sixteen teams. They went up against Granger High and won with an exceptional score of 4-1. For the second game they played Stansbury High and again took a victory with a score of 4-1. Their third game was against Skyridge and lost with a score of 1-4. After that we lost to Provo, 2-3. The last match was an away game at North Ridge on March 20 which ended with a score of 2-3. This has been a very interesting season for the tennis team. We have had close losses (usually by only one point) as well as overwhelming victories (all of them being 4-1).

Looking ahead to the rest of the season, one of our biggest opponents, according to Coach Johns, will be Green Canyon. One of the players, Camden Oswald, agrees; ”I think our hardest, toughest team will probably be Green Canyon, because they have returning players from Sky View.” However, our team is preparing and up to the challenge and Mountain Crest is behind them. Go, Boys’ Tennis!
